Twins Laura and Beatrice Puiu are one of the most important Piano Duo of the International Musical panorama. They are very talented and expressive with a special gift for creative interpretation.

Born in Bucarest, now Italian citizens, they started learning piano at 4 at the Arts High School “G.Enescu. They were 9 years old when they win the International Competition “Città di Stresa”, and receive a scholarship which enabled them to enter the Conservatoire “G.Verdi” of Milan, where they graduated in 1999 under the supervision of Master C. Levi Minzi.

They brilliantly graduated also at the International Piano Accademy “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola in Chamber Music (as piano duet) under the supervision of Master Pier Narciso Masi.

They awards at many National and International Contests, effect recordings for a lot of radio-televisions, and develop an intense concert activity , that brings them to play in prestigious Rooms and Theaters.

From over fifteen years, close to the concert activity , they attend an important didactic activity. From 1999 to 2007 they have been piano teachers at Academy of arts Discanto in Verona where they were in charge of also the Responsible of Artistic Events and Responsible of Didactis. From 2007 they are regular teachers of principal Piano at the Civic School in Verona – Sommacampagna.

In 2008 they founded the International Cultural Association of Music and Art SferMusic no profit, that aims at developing, diffusing and increasing the knowledge of the classic music.

SferMusic, in collaboration with artists of various sectors, is busy to give an unpublished orientation to the existing artistic-cultural world turning particularly to the age of the first infancy and the young people.

In the 2008 spring, they record the new CD “Laura & Beatrice Playing”. A first time in the world, close to passages of S. Calligaris and G. Gershwin, the legendary “Paganini jazz” and “Black Earth” of the great pianist-composer Fazil Say, recorded as first time and adapted for piano for 4 hands from the Duo.

Laura and Beatrice are engage in the search, in the extension and in the diffusion of the repertoire for piano duo, also through their own adaptations for 4 hands and 2 pianos, constant collaborating with artists of international fame.
